Purpose

“Once a Marine, always a Marine” is a familiar saying to all Marines and their families. It causes that feeling of camaraderie and esprit de corps we get when we see a Marine Corps sticker on a vehicle or a Marine Corps flag flying in front of a home. Semper Fidelis is not just a motto, it is a lifestyle. Despite our diverse origins, it is the one tangible thing ingrained in us when we earned the right to wear the Eagle Globe and Anchor. The Marine Corps League is made up of active, reserve, retired and veteran Marines, and FMF Corpsmen and Chaplains who continue the faithful traditions of looking out for Marines, their families, and our fellow citizens, providing community service, mentorship, career counseling, Veteran’s Service Officer support and opportunities for fellowship. Founded in 1923 by Major General John A. Lejeune, the Marine Corps League continues to stand proud in our local area as the premier organization for Marines.
